If Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic’s comments about the much-anticipated clash against Kaizer Chiefs are anything to go by, Orlando Pirates are facing a revenge match.
Chiefs lost 2-1 against Pirates last month in the Absa Premiership and with the result still on everyone's minds, Chiefs will want to turn the tables around.
Chiefs and Pirates will meet in their Telkom Knockout semi-final fixture on Saturday, and speaking ahead of the cup tie, Micho has singled out Itumeleng Khune and Khama Billiat as potential threats.
“We are fully aware that the opponent is eager to make revenge, and as such, we need to be on our toes. We have no right to be on flat foot. We need to be fully aware that we are playing against a team that has top quality individuals,” the head coach told the media at the Soweto Derby Press Conference on Thursday afternoon.
“Itumeleng Khune is one of the best goalkeepers in the world. As per my respected colleague Giovanni Solinas, we are having Khama Billiat (in the PSL as) one of the players that could play in Europe,” added Bucs’ head coach.
The Buccaneers will go to the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday afternoon aiming to put smiles on their fans' faces.
“We need to put smiles on the faces of Happy People – our supporters. They are that driving force and they are that fuelling factor that is keeping us moving,” added the Serbian mentor.
