Mamelodi Sundowns travel to Limpopo to take on Baroka FC at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in a Telkom Knockout quarter-final clash this Saturday afternoon.
Heading into this weekend’s cup matches, Masandawana invited the media into their Chloorkop base, allowing certain players to engage with those in attendance.
Forgotten midfielder, Anthony Laffor, spoke ahead of their encounter with Baroka, saying, “From the beginning of this season we set our goals because we wanted to win everything, but we lost the MTN8 already. So now we have the Telkom (Knockout) on Saturday, so we are very much focused and paying attention to winning here because we lost out on the Champions League and it was frustrating. So now every cup we want to win, including the league.”
Concerning his team's league credentials, the winger appeared confident of his side’s chances in retaining their Absa Premiership title.
“Everything is going according to plan because we’ve got two games in hand. If we can win all two games we can be number 1, so everything is in plan,” he concluded.
Sundowns have won their past 3 Absa Premiership matches in Polokwane, and with Baroka losing 3 of their last 5 matches, the odds are heavily in Masandawana’s favour.
