Platinum Stars midfielder Letladi Madubanya is wary of the threat Kaizer Chiefs pose in their upcoming first round Telkom Knockout game.
Stars and Chiefs will lock horns at the Moruleng Stadium on Sunday in what is arguably the pick of the opening round fixtures of the TKO.
Madubanya is expecting a tough game against the Amakhosi and points to their knack of knowing how to come out on top in do or die games as something that will be tough to overcome.
“Chiefs are a very competitive team. They have been virtually dominant over the past five years. We all know that they have a way of playing and winning cup games, and eventually becoming champions.”
“They are consistent in that. It is true that we are in good shape right now, but it’s hard to figure out what will happen. Chiefs are hard to beat because their players are always strongly driven by the high expectations they face from their supporters,” Madubanya told Soccer Laduma.
‘If we beat Chiefs in a first round of a knockout clash, we will definitely believe that things are looking good for us in the competition.”
What are your expectations for the clash? Do you expect the Amakhosi to walk away with the tie or will Dikwena test their resolve?
