Vincent Pule scored in the 90th minute to hand the Clever Boys a 1-0 win over Siwelele to secure the crown.
Despite ending up on the losing side, the Serbian coach was happy with the commitment his players his showed.
"I'm disappointed with the results but not disappointed with the commitment from the players. We tried our best, it was a very competitive game," Jelusic told SuperSport after the match.
"The match didn't have too many chances but unfortunately for us they scored two minutes before the end of the game. They won, so congratulations to Wits."
Jelusic also drew positives from reaching the final of the competition.
"It's proof of the quality of our team. We are not going to stop here, we'll use it as motivation to continue to work and achieve better results in the future," he added.
"It is part of the game, we lost concentration in the latter part of the game. There is no difference to score in the first minute of the game and the last minute of the game. We competed and gave our best but we lost, so again congratulations to Wits."
