Mamelodi Sundowns will host Chippa United in the Telkom Knockout round of 16 this evening at the Lucas Moripe Stadium and midfielder Hlompho Kekana says that they must not underestimate them.
Kekana admits that the first game of the competition is crucial for them, if they want to go on and reach their goal of going all the way to the final and lifting the trophy.
He told the Siya crew that though people think Chippa is a small team, they will give the Chilli Boys the respect they deserve.
"You know there are no longer smaller teams in the league. All teams are the same and we are preparing the same way we prepare for any other game or team,” he said.
“Personally I haven't won this trophy and I would like us to win against Chippa and go all the way to the finals and lift the trophy.
“That's our aim as a team and we have to start by winning against Chippa first," the former SuperSport United midfielder concluded.
