Chiefs Coach Discusses Amakhosi Future

Giovanni Solinas says that he doesn’t know what will happen to him at Kaizer Chiefs if they lose today’s Soweto Derby, but insists that he’s staying positive.
The Glamour Boys go into this afternoon’s encounter knowing that a win will secure their place in the Telkom Knockout final, with the club looking to bring to an end a barren run that has lasted more than three years.
Having already played 13 games in the Absa Premiership, Solinas’ side find themselves in fifth place and five points off their Soweto rivals, however that could be forgiven if they knock them out of the TKO.
With Chiefs missing out on the MTN8 already this season, defeat and the loss of another chance at silverware would not go down well with the Amakhosi faithful, though he is choosing not to consider what happens if they lose.
Speaking to the media, the Italian said, “I don’t know why you talk negative… Sincerely I don’t know how to answer this question. Me, I think positive, because if I go with the negative then I can’t help my players or my club. I think positive, and after the derby I don’t know.”
Chiefs and Pirates lock horns at 15h00 this afternoon.
