The Italian will be hoping to make it second time lucky as he goes into his second semifinal final and second Soweto Derby of the 2018/19 campaign, with both of the prior occasions ending in defeat for his side.
Now though, unlike the last time, the Amakhosi have an almost clean bill of health going into the encounter, with Lebogang Manyama in line to take part in the clash between the Soweto giants for the first time.
When asked about the attacker’s availability, Solinas said, “Lebo is okay. He is in full training, and he also played on Saturday in a friendly game. So, he is available for the derby. No problem with Lebo.”
It was also confirmed that Bernard Parker is also back in full training and is in contention for a return during the Soweto Derby, while Joseph Molangoane and Wiseman Meyiwa are both still out – the former with a game injury and the latter following a car accident.
Chiefs and Pirates will battle it out on Saturday afternoon at Moses Mabhida Stadium for a spot in the final of this year’s TKO and a chance to end their respective goal droughts.
