Kaizer Chiefs winger, George Lebese, has indicated that the Amakhosi will not be taking Platinum Stars lightly in their Telkom Knockout clash this Sunday.
Both Chiefs and Stars are unbeaten in the league this season so far, and Dikwena will head into the clash with plenty of confidence as they currently sit at the top of the Absa Premiership table with 14 points from six games.
Stars knocked Chiefs out of the competition in the quarter-finals last year as they went on a run to the final, where they eventually lost out to SuperSport United.
Lebese has indicated that Chiefs are well aware of the pedigree that their opponents possess and are well prepared for the encounter.
“If you remember, Platinum Stars are the team that knocked us out of the same cup last season when we lost on penalties,” he told Soccer Laduma.
“We know how good they are. Look at the way they are currently playing in the league. They are one of the unbeaten teams in the league, but you know, as Kaizer Chiefs, we want to win each and every trophy that we compete in.”
