Bidvest Wits head coach, Gavin Hunt, thinks that Vincent Pule has not reached his full potential and could have been the team’s top goalscorer by now.
The 25-year-old winger netted in the only goal on Saturday, to win the 2017 Telkom Knockout Cup for the Clever Boys and speaking after the match, Head Coach Hunt believes that Pule is yet to reach his full potential in terms of his goalscoring abilities and could have been the team’s top goalscorer, had he slotted in all the chances he had in front of goal this season.
“I think he is a player that certainly for me, he hasn’t fulfilled his potential like a lot of players in South Africa. It is the final stage of a cross, or a pass or a goal. And the goals that he has missed this year for us, jeez he should have been the top goalscorer,” Hunt told the media.
“But he is a good boy, he works hard, every day at training, head down, he trains well. I can’t fault the boy, I like him, I like players like that. He is good and I am happy for him because the last couple of years he hasn’t really played and he has huge potential but he needs to fulfil it,” he added.
