The former Chippa United forward started his first game for Chiefs during their 1-1 draw with the Urban Warriors in Cape Town and capped it off by getting on the score-sheet.
However, Chiefs take on Platinum Stars in their Telkom Knockout Last 16 tie on Sunday.
“I started my first game in the Chiefs jersey against Ajax Cape Town last week, scoring a goal as well,” Manqele told the club's official website.
“This boosted my confidence.”
Manqele insists the side are looking forward to the game, especially after Chiefs were dumped out of this competition by Dikwena last season.
“Last year, Platinum Stars beat us on penalties in the Telkom Knockout,” Manqele said.
"We are looking forward to the match. We want to win.”
The match is scheduled to get underway at 15h00 at the Moruleng Stadium.
