10 suspects are set to appear in court in relation to Telkom Knockout semi-final crimes committed in Durban.
The PSL has confirmed that the 10 suspects are set to appear in the Durban Magistrate Court today (Monday) after they were allegedly caught involved in illegal acts prior to the Telkom Knockout match between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
The Buccaneers beat Amakhosi 2-1 to book a spot in this year’s TKO final set to be played at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
Some of the suspects have been arrested for ticket resale, while others were arrested for selling fake tickets, as confirmed by the PSL in their statement.
“The 10 people who were arrested in Durban this past weekend during the Telkom Knockout semi-final clash between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will appear in the Durban Magistrate today,” confirmed the PSL in a statement.
“The 10 suspects, who cannot be named until they appear in court this afternoon, are between 20 and 45 years old. Seven suspects were arrested for ticket resale, two suspects were arrested for selling fake tickets and one suspect was arrested for attempted pitch invasion,” stated the PSL.
