Mamelodi Sundowns are believed to have a tabled a bid for a Bidvest Wits trio, but compared to their price-tag, what is their current value in millions?
The Siya crew reported on Friday evening that Sundowns tabled a total of R17 million to land the services of Deon Hotto, Haashim Domingo and Thulani Hlatshwayo.
Wits’ top flight status is currently on the verge of being sold and as a result, some of their key players are being heavily linked with moves away from the club.
On Thursday, the Siya crew broke the news of Wits’ interest in Hotto, who has established himself as a key player for both club and country.
The Namibian is also being eyed up by Orlando Pirates, although talks with the Brazilians seem to be progressing quickly.
According to his figures on transfermarkt.com, the 29-year-old versatile player is ranked as the most expensive player in Namibia and the sixth most expensive player in Mzansi’s top flight, with a market value of €950 000 (±R18 million).
Meanwhile, Bafana Bafana captain, Thulani Hlatshwayo, is valued at €1 million (±R19 million), more than any other centre-back on the books of Sundowns.
Haashim Domingo is currently at €475 000 (±R9 million), valued more than Phakamani Mahlambi, Jose Ali Meza, Anthony Laffor, Sphelele Mkhulise, Keletso Makgalwa and Aubrey Ngoma.
