Maritzburg United coach Ernst Middendorp may have secured a long-term stay at the club after the announcement of the partnership with Arminia Bielefeld.
The Team of Choice launched a groundbreaking partnership with the German oufit which will focus on development of football in in the KZN Midlands.
Middendorp has strong relationship with the Bundesliga side and was voted as the best coach of the decade during his time with the club.
With the new partnership, it is believed he will play a huge role in working with both clubs to ensure all agreements are met, especially on the football field.
During the announcement on this week, it was clear that Middendorp is held in high regarded at Arminia Bielefeld and will play huge role as a driving force in the partnership.
When asked about the situation of the coach, club chairman, Farook Kadodia shed some light on Middendorp's future.
"I think again, this whole partnership revolves around youth football and the coach will be key in communication between clubs and at the moment is the right person to do so with his experience in the country and Germany," Kadodia explained to the media.
"Look, I don't think we should be short-sighted, Middendorp's value is important to this club," he added.
