Luc Eymael has confirmed having talks about an Absa Premiership role, before he was sacked at Tanzanian Premier League club Young Africans.
As reported by the Siya crew, interest had been shown in Eymael by Chippa United, before their appointment of Lehlohonolo Seema.
The Belgian coach has confirmed that he had talks with general manager Morgan Mammila, following his re-appointment at the Eastern Cape club last month
“He (Mammila) called me several weeks ago. I told him that I will be free end of July because my contract was finishing (at Yanga) end of July and had one year mutual renewal option,” said Eymael.
The former Free State Stars coach says he thinks Seema would do well at the Chilli Boys.
Meanwhile, the South African Football Coaches Association (SAFCA) has lashed out at Eymael for the derogatory comments he made about the people of Tanzania whom he compared to monkeys and dogs and have called for his ban from working in football.
Furthermore, the South African Football Association (SAFA) announced that a letter will be sent to the Minister of Sports to prevent Eymael from getting a work permit in Mzansi in the future.
