Jabu Mahlangu, Steve Lekoelea and Gabadinho Mhango are among stars that would feature in former Orlando Pirates midfielder Hleza Mofedi’s Absa Premiership team of all time.
John Tlale would be in goals, with Lucky Lekgwathi, Lucas Thwala, Gerald Raphahlela and
Mbulelo Mabizela forming the back four, while Edelbert Dinha, Goodman Mazibuko, Lekoelea, Mahlangu and Mhango would also be in the line-up in Mofedi’s team which is made up of mainly his former teammates from the Buccaneers.
Mofedi would play alongside Dinha and Mazibuko in central midfield, with Lekoelea and Mahlangu operating on the wings.
Mhango – the only player in Mofedi’s selection who is still active – would be the lone striker for the team.

Though underrated, Mofedi was one of the top talents in the famous Pirates side of enterprising carpet football under Serbian coach Kostadin Papic between 2004 and 2006.
He believes that the players he selected could trouble any opposition in the Absa Premiership even today.
Could Mofedi’s PSL XI be the best team ever?
