AmaZulu FC players are in high spirits and have sent a warning ahead of their clash against high-flying Royal AM on Sunday.
Usuthu have had a very challenging season as they've been struggling with consistency but in the last two games they've managed to bounce back with consecutive victories against Baroka FC and Maritzburg United.
Veli Mothwa, speaking ahead of second derby in seven days, has expressed his confidence in his teammates.
"It is another big game as we come from a KZN derby against Maritzburg United, a tough one and we will see who are the toughest boys in the Province. The last two wins have given us hope that we can beat Royal AM," Mothwa said to the media.
"The commitment is there. We've always been committed to this team and as a goalkeeper, I want to make sure I keep a clean sheet."
Another Usuthu player Andre de Jong is also confident that as much as their neighbors are the second best team in the league, they can be beaten at home on Sunday.
"Royal AM have been flying this season and going to Chatsworth won't be easy as they've made the stadium a fortress, but after winning two games in a row I'm confident we can get a win."
