Mamelodi Sundowns legend Roger Feutmba believes the club will bounce back after losing to former coach Pitso Mosimane and has called for punishment for unruly fans.
Masandawana were kicked out of the CAF Champions League by Egyptian giants Al Ahly last weekend after failing to overtun a 2-0 first-leg loss.
"They did their best, I think they came against defending CAF Champions and it wasn't an easy game, remember it is football, you can't win them all," Feutmba told the Siya crew.
Before the game, some Sundowns fans insulted their former coach Pitso Mosimane and Feutmba feels it was a disgrace to see.
"It a pity that they did that to him, he doesn't deserve that treatment and he served the team very well. We preach about fair play but some fans decided to do otherwise, it is uncalled for and must be investigated and punished," he added.
"I believe they've wrote a good statement, they had to apologise to Al Ahly and coach Pitso personally as well because he has done so much for the club. We don't need such in our football, he must be respected all the time."
Downs have bagged the inaugral DStv Premiership title, making history by becoming the first club to win four consecutive league titles.
The former player is of the belief that Downs' dominance will not end soon.
"They are very well organized team, they won't be affected by what is happening right now. They will always be stronger, they will overcome this period. Sundowns have players that can sustain them for another two years dominating the PSL, so it won't be a problem."
