Three of Head Coach Benni McCarthy’s key players will have to tread lightly on Friday evening, to avoid the risk of a suspension in the encounter against Kaizer Chiefs.
Cape Town City could go to second place on the Absa Premiership league standings on Friday, should they secure maximum points when they host Polokwane City in the Mother City.
McCarthy’s boys will be fired up for their next league encounter, as they are coming off the back of a 2-1 win over log leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns. However, despite City well in contention for the Absa Premiership trophy, three players will need to tread lightly as they are at risk of suspension, where picking up their fourth yellow card on Friday evening, would mean that they will be suspended for the clash against Chiefs.
Edmilson Dove, Keanu Cupido and Craig Martin have all picked up three yellow cards so far in the domestic campaign.
Chiefs will host City at the Mbombela Stadium on March 31, in the quarter-final of the Nedbank Cup competition, with City vying for their second trophy of the 2018/19 campaign, and Amakhosi looking to put an end to their three-season trophy drought.
