The PSL promotion play-offs came to an end with a game in hand as Black Leopards managed to secure a 1-0 victory over a week ago (Wednesday, May 30) against Jomo Cosmos.
Lidoda Duvha ended the play-offs with a total of eight points, while there was still a match between Jomo Cosmos and Platinum Stars which took place on Saturday, June 2. However, the result in the game did not in any way affect Leopards’ promotion. SportPesa ambassador and Mzansi legend, Doctor Khumalo welcomed back the Limpopo-based side after having been out of the elite league for five years.
“Let me congratulate Black Leopards on securing their promotion to the elite league.
“From the look of things, you could see a lot of hunger and determination in all their games.
“Their promotion is great news for Limpopo as there are now three professional teams and that can augur well for the province.”
In this week’s SportPesa Club House, Khumalo also discusses the crowd attendance at Leopards’ Thohoyandou stadium and he touches on the pending Ajax Cape Town case.
