League action from across the globe returns to lighten up our screens this weekend after the international break took over.
This weekend, Chelsea host Manchester United in what will be a headlining match in England. The Red Devils have much on their plate as the drama behind-the-scenes continues to overshadow the club, while the home side seems to have all of their ducks in a row going into the encounter.
SportPesa ambassador, Doctor Khumalo believes that Jose Mourinho’s charges will walk away with a victory on the day. Do you agree with him on this and on his other predictions?
Chelsea v Manchester United (Manchester win)
I was talking to some of my friends about this game and they couldn’t believe it when I told them that I believe Manchester will win this one. While I respect their opinions, I’m not going to change how I feel about this game. When we look at Man United, they obviously have a lot of negative stuff happening in their camp, while the opposite is the case at Chelsea as they’re going into this game more confident. They’ve been doing well but my instinct tells me Chelsea will suffer a loss and Man United will take all three points.
Villarreal v Atletico Madrid (Draw)
Villa playing at home are not a bad team at all. They’ve been doing well but I wouldn’t want to take anything away from the good team Atletico have. Having said that, it is going to be difficult for Atletico who change their style of play whenever they’re playing away. This is something a lot of La Liga teams do, where they don’t utilise a striking force and rather try to catch you on the break when playing away. They become a well-organised team that goes out there to either snatch a late winner or just a draw. If they can find their rhythm, this game will end up as a draw.
Barcelona v Sevilla (Barcelona win)
Barca seem to have found their winning form although they will have their work cut out against Sevilla. Having said that, a capacity packed Camp Nou will not be too kind to Sevilla, so Barca should and will win this one.
Inter Milan v AC Milan (Inter win)
This game is always similar to our own Soweto derby here in South Africa. The unfortunate part is that Inter has an upper hand while their opponents have not been firing on all cylinders. The fact that Inter are playing at home also gives them an edge, so I think they will win this one.
