‘Chiefs Will Be Looking To Turn The Corner’ – Doc Makes His Predictions!

SportPesa ambassador, Doctor Khumalo has made his predictions on this weekend’s matches around the world.

The Bafana Bafana legend has gone for a draw in the game between Cape Town City and his former club, Kaizer Chiefs. Do you want to know why? See Khumalo’s predictions below!

Doc’s picks

Napoli v Fiorentina (Draw)

This is going to be a tricky one to call, with both teams blowing hot and cold. Yes, Napoli showed some glimpses last season and pushed Juventus to the league title but I think this game will be a draw. Fiorentina, on the other hand, is one lucky team and can upset you. They might not have that spark, in some games, but, I don’t know how they get it right, they will surprise you. They seem to be one lucky team that will, out of nowhere, salvage a draw or even win a game you thought they’d lose. At Napoli, I think a draw is a safe prediction.

Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool (Draw)

I used to idolise the tactical approach of Tottenham, which I thought was consistently one of the best last season. Having seen Liverpool’s form and their attitude this season, they seem to have gained a lot from their UEFA Champions League campaign last season. So far, so good for them, as they’ve been marvellous to watch, while Tottenham have dropped some points. I will go for a draw again.

Cape Town City v Kaizer Chiefs (Draw)

City have reached another Cup final and beat one of the best teams in the country, in Mamelodi Sundowns, in the semi-finals. So that’s a huge psychological boost for them with Chiefs not having the best of starts, they will be hoping that the FIFA break will have helped them sort things out. It is not going to be an easy outing as City will not want to spoil their good run, ahead of the cup final, while Chiefs will be looking to turn the corner in the league. I’d go for another draw.

Orlando Pirates v SuperSport United (Draw)

Coach Kaitano Tembo and his players have been doing really well since he took over. Having said that, I don’t think Pirates would want to lose to SuperSport twice in such a short space of time. It is not going to be an easy game for either side so, unfortunately, I see another share of the spoils.
