Doc On The Poor Goalscoring Tallies…

By Soccer Laduma - May 25, 2018 10:52 AM

The PSL Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, May 29 to acknowledge those who stood out in the 2017/18 season. The nominees have been announced and Doctor Khumalo shared his views on the players that have been selected in each of the categories.

One category that Khumalo spoke about was the Lesley Manyathela Golden Boot award, as he mentioned that he worries about the goal tallies.

“As a coach and Technical Director, it worries me that for so many seasons, we haven’t been able to reach 20 goals.

“I mean, 11 goals is very, very low by our standards and quality.”

However, Doc went on to praise the league for admiring the outstanding performances throughout the season and deciding to honour those individuals.

“The awards are always a good gesture from the league, sponsors and everyone around, to acknowledge top performers.”
