Then there were two! France and Croatia are the two last standing countries that are vying for the FIFA World Cup trophy. Both Belgium and England were eliminated from the semi-final encounters and will face each other for the third-place play-off.
SportPesa ambassador, Doctor Khumalo, had much praise for England boss, Gareth Southgate as he led the Three Lions to the semi-final stage of the prestigious event.
“For Southgate to take England this far, especially as a coach coming through the ranks, is unbelievable. Not many, if at all, people gave them a chance but look at their team now.
The Bafana Bafana legend went on to voice his opinions on the outstanding job that the head coaches have been doing.
“I have been enjoying the World Cup and the great job done by the benches has been unbelievable. I have been closely watching the brilliance of Belgium coach, Roberto Martinez, in amazement. In two games, he won the game form the bench with amazing tactical changes. I have learned a lot from that man already. When you have a great technical team, anything is possible, and I have mentioned this before. He won the game against Japan and he went on to do the same thing against Brazil.”
