A year ago, Liverpool suffered a 3-1 defeat in Kiev against Real Madrid to lose out on securing the UEFA Champions League title. Now, the Reds have a chance to bring back the smiles to the faces of their supporters when they take on Tottenham in this year’s edition of the competition.
Jurgen Klopp’s charges have displayed incredible spirit, especially after bouncing back from a 3-0 first round defeat against Barcelona, however their opponents also pulled off a spectacular performance in their semi-final fixture against Ajax Amsterdam which makes this final one not to be missed.
SportPesa ambassador Doctor Khumalo had predicted who will come out victorious come Saturday evening, and he tackles other encounters as well. Do you agree with the Amakhosi legend?
Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool (Liverpool win)
Both teams did well this past season and finished in style. This is going to be a very difficult game because these two teams caused upsets on their way to this final. Looking at the teams they had to go through, with Liverpool having scored four against Barcelona, I will give this to Liverpool.
Venezuela v Ecuador (Venezuela win)
Honestly, there’s not much one knows or has heard about Ecuador in a long time, while Venezuela has been one of the strong countries around. They’ve caused surprises by winning games that no one expected them to. I’m sure Venezuela will play this international friendly with the Copa America in mind, so they will be taking it very seriously by bringing their best players. So I will give this one to Venezuela.
France v Bolivia (France win)
Bolivia will not be a walkover but I, honestly, don’t see them standing in the way of France. The French team have turned the corner and become something else. I will give this one to France because of their form.
