This Saturday, May 18, all eyes will be on the Nedbank Cup final that will be taking place at Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban. Kaizer Chiefs will be facing off against TS Galaxy in what promises to be an exciting encounter.
For Amakhosi, going into this match, they will have to put their lives on the line to ensure that they walk away with the cup in hand after a disappointing season. However, it will not be easy as their opponents have been incredible in this competition and between the two, Galaxy have no pressure to deliver as much as Chiefs do.
SportPesa Clubhouse column ambassador, Doctor Khumalo spoke on the match and the importance of not taking Galaxy for granted on the day.

“Let me wish both Kaizer Chiefs and TS Galaxy everything of the best for the big one this weekend, the Nedbank Cup final. It has been dubbed a David v Goliath affair and those who follow the Biblical story will remember that David wasn’t given a chance, but the young man pulled off a massive surprise against all odds. No disrespect to Chiefs, but we could be in for a big shock this weekend! This is going to be a humdinger of a cup final and we look forward to being entertained.
“Galaxy is a newly-formed NFD team that has reached a cup final and this goes back to what I said about this league being competitive. You just can’t afford to take them lightly. Don’t disrespect them because they’re equipped with a lot of machinery that can make them tick. I’m talking about the coaches, management and their growing number of supporters. We are looking forward to a great final and may the best team win.”
Khumalo also spoke about Free State Stars’ relegation to the National First Division.
