It’s Do-Or-Die As Clubs Fight It Out In The Final PSL League Matches!

The final week of the Premier Soccer League takes place this Saturday, May 11, as the curtain closes on what has been a season that will go down in the history books as one of the best campaigns.

As it stands, there is still the uncertainty of who will be on the podium, lifting the league title as the race is still open for either Mamelodi Sundowns or Orlando Pirates. While, on the other end of the table, the battle for survival in the relegation zone sees a similar situation with a number of clubs in line to face the drop.

SportPesa ambassador Doctor Khumalo gets stuck into the matches that will take place and has given his predictions. Do you agree with his choices on the following games? Check it out and make your own predictions, now!

Orlando Pirates v Polokwane City (Pirates win)

This is going to be a very interesting do-or-die game for Pirates and City are no push-overs. They’re a very strong and competitive team that has done really well this season. Given the situation, I would give this one to Pirates because they have to win it.

Bloemfontein Celtic v AmaZulu (Draw)

Celtic will be looking to cement their top eight spot and this is a must-win for them. AmaZulu aren’t going to make it easy at all as they are also looking to guarantee their place in the log standings and finish the season on a high. They’re a professional team and will not just donate points just because they’re safe from relegation. I will give this one a draw.

SuperSport United v Highlands Park (SuperSport win)

These are two teams in the top eight and will be looking to cement their spots, which will make this game very interesting. SuperSport come from a defeat against Maritzburg United and will definitely not want to lose two games on the trot. They just can’t afford to lose another one and I believe SuperSport will win this one.

Free State Stars v Mamelodi Sundowns (Sundowns win)

Talk about two teams on opposite ends. Sundowns want to win the league, while Stars are looking to survive relegation. This will be a very interesting game to watch. I’m not too sure if Stars will be able to change things around in their last game of the season. However, I would give this one to Sundowns.
