SportPesa ambassador, Doctor Khumalo shares his insight on some of the biggest local and international fixtures to be played this week. These include PSL and English Premier League fixtures.
SuperSport United v Orlando Pirates
Look, taking nothing away from SuperSport, having watched Pirates in their opening game of the season against Bloemfontein Celtic, I must say they were unbelievable. Yes they lost in Zambia in their opening match of the CAF Champions League but I don’t see them losing this one. I will give Pirates the maximum points.
Soccer Laduma Tip: We agree with Doc on this one. After their defeat on the continent, the Buccaneers will look to bounce back with a bang.
Liverpool v Chelsea
Liverpool go into this one with more confidence following their 4-1 win against Norwich City and will certainly be on top of their game, while Chelsea will still be smarting from the humiliating 4-0 loss against Manchester United. I think Liverpool will be too much for Chelsea to handle.
Soccer Laduma Tip: Doctor Khumalo and Soccer Laduma are on the same page with this opinion. We also need to add the fact that the Reds are exceptionally difficult to play against. Although Lampard has a decent squad, one only foresees a win for Klopp’s chargers.
Manchester City v Tottenham Hotspur
I’m not even going to mince my words on this one. City are a well-oiled machine and should have no problems dealing with Tottenham, although they’re not going to make it easy for them.
Soccer Laduma Tip: We agree with Doc. Despite some of the VAR calls and the frustration of a goal being ruled out, the EPL Champions were relentless. Packed with goals and quality all over the pitch, we can only see one winner.
Chelsea v Leicester City
Chelsea would have been through a lot by the time they host Leicester. I think this will be a draw.
Soccer Laduma Tip: This game might tighter than what one might think. We are going to disagree with Doc and go for narrow Leicester City win. Brenden Rogers’ has assembled a really strong squad and they will upset the Blues at Stamford Bridge.
