Transfer Update: Why City Could Pull Out On Mayambela Interest
Cape Town City To Pull Out Of Mark Mayambela Interest?
Cape Town City could be considering pulling out of their interest in a winger, after having added Riyaad Norodien to their books already.
Sources in the football fraternity have revealed that City were showing interest in bringing Mark Mayambela back to the Mother City, adding the player to their books for the new 2018/19 season.
However, after Orlando Pirates confirmed that a deal between the Buccaneers and the Citizens for the services of Riyaad Norodien was agreed on, City might look to pull out of their interest in Mayambela.
According to Siya sources in the know, City made informal enquiries into the services of the Chippa United winger, although, could pull out on their interest in the player, as Head Coach Benni McCarthy would already have up to five wingers in his attacking department next season.
City currently have Lyle Lakay, Allan Kateregga, Ayanda Patosi, Craig Martin and the incoming Norodien in that department.
Although, as reported previously by the Siya crew, Pirates have been showing interest in Patosi, with a move away from the Citizens in the July/August transfer window not being ruled out as yet.
However, with just over two weeks left before the transfer window officially opens, it remains to be seen which incoming and outgoing players are set to be announced by the Citizens.
