Sibusiso Masina's second-half strike guided Cape Town City to a 1-0 win over Costa Do Sol in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup first-round clash.
 
 
There were a number of changes for the Mother City side as young midfielders Shane Roberts and Zukile Kewuti were handed starts, while Sage Stephens started between the sticks.
 
Despite the many changes, the Citizens managed to hold their own in the opening half and went into the break goalless.
 
The deadlock was eventually broken in the 65th minute thanks to a strike from Sibusiso Masina.
 
That proved to be the only goal of the encounter as the Citizens take a slight advantage into the second leg.
 
The second leg will take place in Cape Town on 18 March 2018 as Benni McCarthy's charges to looked to progress in their debut campaign.
