Kaizer Chiefs defender, Eric Mathoho, has dismissed talk about the way his defensive line struggled against Orlando Pirates, in the reverse fixture, ahead of today’s Soweto derby.
When the two sides met at the end of October last year, Pirates strikers ran rampant in a 3-1 victory. But the man known as “Tower” believes that today’s game at the FNB Stadium will be not be the same and that his team haS a plan to contain the Pirates attack.
“Yes, they troubled us in the first game but that's in the past. Every game is different,” the 25-year-old said.
“All the games are different and today we have a plan for them which will work for us. We want to win and we have to stop their strikers.”
Mathoho has scored twice in 13 league appearances for Chiefs this season.
