Bongani Zungu is hoping for the opportunity to showcase his talent and represent his country when Bafana Bafana take on Botswana in a FIFA World Cup qualifier on Saturday.
The 20-year-old midfielder made his national team debut against Burkina Faso during the Nelson Mandela Sports & Culture Day and is now looking to establish himself in Bafana colours.
He is part of the squad preparing for the crunch encounter against the Zebras this weekend and says that he will help the team bag the much-needed win, given the opportunity.
He told the Siya crew, “We are having fun in camp and everyone is looking forward to the game. The spirit in the camp is high and we’re all working hard.
"The coach has been motivating us and telling us to go out there and do the job. If given the chance, I will be the same hard-working Bongani and grab the opportunity with both hands.”
