SuperSport United’s veteran forward, Sibusiso Zuma, has put pen to paper on a one-year extension with the club.
It was reported last month that the 38-year-old was going to be released by Matsatsantsa, however the Siya crew explained that it was not in the club's plans.
Story: SSU Not Releasing Zuma
SuperSport’s director of football, Stan Matthews, explained that he was willing to offer ‘Rhee’ a contract extension if he didn’t get a better offer elsewhere, and it seems that the former Bafana Bafana hitman has opted to remain in Atteridgeville.
Zuma has been with the Tshwane-based outfit since 2011, after joining from Vasco da Gama, and it is looking increasingly likely that he will end his long and successful career with SuperSport when he does finally decide to hang up his boots.
However, it appears that the experienced forward has impressed new head coach, Cavin Johnson, since Johnson’s arrival at the club and will be hoping to regain full fitness by the time the season begins.
At 38, can Sibusiso Zuma still do a job for SuperSport? Place your vote.
