Sivutsa Stars left back Siyabonga Zulu has attracted interest from within the PSL, following a good showing in the NFD. The Under-20 South African international, who is on loan at Sivutsa from Orlando Pirates, is seen as a future talent in the domestic football scene.
The latest information reaching the Siya crew is that the talented youngster has attracted interest from both Free State Stars and Platinum Stars, as the respective teams look to beef up their defence during the January transfer window.
A source has since explained that a proposed move to either of the PSL outfits will depend on Bucs’ willingness to see the player moving elsewhere.
“He has done very well for his club right now and it is not surprising that he is attracting interest from PSL clubs. He is improving in all the games that he has been playing, and given the chance, I think he can do it in the PSL. He is growing in confidence with more game time at Sivutsa,” said the source.
Asked for comment on the link, P Management spokesperson Vincent Phiri was reluctant on revealing any information.
“He is a Pirates player and he is on loan at Sivutsa, so everything should go through the right procedure. But yes he is a very good young defender and you know left backs are hard to find,” Phiri said.
