Former Bafana Bafana midfielder Papi Zothwane has informed Moroka Swallows that he will only arrive at the club on Monday, to begin his trial with the team.
Zothwane was expected to start training with the Birds on Tuesday morning, however failed to pitch up.
“Zothwane has informed us that he will only come to training on Monday. He explained to us the reasons why he didn’t pitch up at training yesterday, but I’m not in a position to reveal those reasons,” Swallows coach Zeca Marques told the Siya crew.
Meanwhile, Marques confirmed to the Siya crew that Swallows won’t retain the services of former Bafana Bafana midfielder MacBeth Sibaya.
“But we have allowed him to train with the club, while he is busy looking for a new team,” explained Marques.
Sibaya joined Swallows from Russian side Rubin Kazan a few seasons ago, although was unable to gain a regular starting berth with the side during his spell.
