Masibusane Zongo has reacted angrily to reports that he is to appear before Chippa United’s Disciplinary Committee before being handed his clearance.
The 23-year-old player, who has been in the news for both his talent on the field and his antics off it, started training with Platinum Stars two weeks ago, but later had to travel to Cape Town to collect his clearance from the Chilli Boys.
However, the club’s CEO, Peter Koutroulis, told the Siya crew that Zongo would first have to be hauled before the coals for going AWOL after a game against Orlando Pirates in April and to address the court case that is facing the former junior international.
When called by the crew, the dribbling wizard let rip, “Why did you guys speak to Koutroulis? He doesn’t know me and I don’t know him. I’ve never even met him and I don’t know what he’s talking about. When I was at the club he was not there, so what does he know about the whole thing?
"The only person I’m communicating with is Chippa (Mpengesi), whom I'm meeting today. He called me this morning and said we'll meet today, so I'm still waiting for him. That's why I haven't gone back to Jozi yet.”
