Bloemfontein Celtic have parted ways with striker, Roderick Mutuma.
The Zimbabwean marksman has started three games for the club this season, and the Siya crew has previously reported that he is not in Ernst Middendorp’s plans and faces a bleak future at the club. Mutuma has failed to nail down a regular place at Phunya Sele Sele since joining the team back in January last year.
The club revealed on their official website, “Zimbabwean striker Roderick Mutuma has been released from Bloemfontein Celtic F.C. with immediate effect. His contract was terminated after a poor campaign marked by inconsistency and an inability to crack the first team squad. The Zimbabwean international only played a few games at the beginning of the season and has not featured since then. The club wishes Mutuma the best in his career going forward.”
It was thought that Mutuma would only leave the club at the end of the season, but it seems the club have decided to sort out the issue of his future now, and create space for a possible new signing.
