A Zambian international striker has landed in South Africa as he looks to secure a PSL deal for next season.
Julius Situmbeko, a former teammate of Orlando Pirates striker Augustine Mulenga, has arrived at Bloemfontein Celtic for a trial with the team.
“My Zambian client Julius Situmbeko arrived in the country last night (Monday) for a trial at Celtic. I received an invitation for him from the club. He will start training with Celtic players that are not part of the travelling squad (for Wednesday’s league match against Polokwane City),” confirmed the player’s agent, Tebogo Ramasilo, to the Siya crew.
“He is a top player. He used to play with Augustine Mulenga of Orlando Pirates FC at Zanaco FC in Zambia,” said the agent about the 25-year-old player.
The Siya crew has learnt from sources close to Zanaco that the forward is also being monitored by three other unnamed clubs in Mzansi, who are believed to be keen on his services.
