Mamelodi Sundowns have invited a young player by the name of Lamla Joyi for an assessment with the team’s development structures.
The 20-year-old has been playing his football in the Eastern Cape up until now, with the player’s representative, Sipho Joyce, confirming to the Siya crew that he is being assessed by Downs’ development.
“The boy has gone to Sundowns for assessment. He started at the beginning of the week. He is with the development team at the moment. They want to assess him and take it from there. The boy is a goal scorer. He is from the Eastern Cape and is a 20-year-old. His name is Lamla Joyi. He has been playing for a team called Peacemakers in East London,” said Joyce.
Joyi confirmed to the Siya crew that things are looking promising for him at Sundowns.
The Brazilians scouts are always keen to recruit talented players to Chloorkop, to be nurtured under the team’s youth coaches.
Aces Youth Soccer Academy (AYSA) of Zimbabwe previously told Soccer-Laduma that their rising star, Walter Musona, has been targeted by Sundowns.
