He badly wanted this cup for the sake of his ailing caree...yes age is no longer on his side, Paulos Masehe steered his team to this historic and first ever Nedbank cup...it was a very important victory to decorate his career

GK:thela ngobeni (free state stars)RB:nyiko mobi (free state stars)LB:patric phungwayo (free state stars)CB:bangarly keita (free state stars)CB:rooi mahamutsa (free state stars)DM:paulos masehe (free state stars)CM:nhlanhla vilakazi (free state stars)RW:sinethemba jantjie (free state stars)LW:goodmen dlamini (free state stars)CF:siphelele mthembu (free state stars)F:harris tchilombou (free state stars).my player of the week is ella koto captain fantastic paulos masehe.he was a backbone of stars middle line alongside nhlanhla vilakazi.their experience came very handy on the night in making sure that the like's of maboe, makaringe and ndlovu don't get much space and more time on the ball.masehe's leadership was very key as he was leading in example by cutting and stoping every attack from the young ndlovu.the captain played his heartout on the night.

The player of the week should go to Free State Stars' captain fantastic, Paulus Masehe. He has shown great leadership in the team and even won the man-of-the-match award after winning the Nedbank Cup title. He has set a good example to the younger players.

Let me congratulate the Free State Stars team for their impressive win against Maritzburg United over the weekend in the Nedbank Cup final. They managed to hold on to their goal that came from Goodman Dlamini and handled the pressure from Maritzburg very well. Congratulations to Ea Lla Koto. They all deserve to be in this week's player of the week category.

this week, let me give it to Free State Stars capatin, Paulus Masehe. What a man, what a leader. He has carried and served the team with so much pride, dignity and strength. After their Nedbank Cup inauguration on Saturday evening, he spoke so highly of his teammates and the club. He's probably the oldest in the team but that did not stop him from believing that even at his age, he can still achieve something in Africa's biggest and best league. He led a team that had a trophy drought for 24 years to cu glory and to Africa. Ea Lla Koto has now joined Mzansi's big three to participate in CAF competitions. It doesn't get better than that. Well done to him and the rest of the Ea Lla Koto team!
