You Choose The Team Of The Month

With just under two months to the end of the 2013/14 PSL season, we look back at the top performers in March.
The PSL campaign is reaching its final stages with less than 10 matches left before the curtain falls on the 2013/14 season.
Both Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns look set to fight toe-and-nail to determine who will eventually walk away with the PSL honours come May. The two sides are currently tied on the same points of 49, however, the Glamour Boys have played two games less. At the other end of the Absa Premiership table, things are just as interesting with KZN side, Golden Arrows, still rock bottom. Despite their poor showing in recent games, Abafana Bes'thende still stand a chance to retain their PSL status, with eight games left to their campaign. Polokwane City and Free State Stars are the other two sides who are fighting relegation.
In continental showpiece, both The Glamour Boys and Matsatsantsa were knocked out of the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup respectively. Kaizer Chiefs edged DRC side, AS Vita, 2-0 at the FNB Stadium on Saturday night, however, the Dolphins progressed with a 3-2 aggregate score. SuperSport United suffered a rather humiliating 4-1 defeat to Tunisian side, Etoile du Sahel, to lose 5-1 on aggregate, that ended their campaign in Africa for this season.
In the Nedbank Cup, the PSL's top sides will look to derail each other, as it promises to be a scintillating last eight of the competition. Orlando Pirates have been drawn against cross-town rivals, Mamelodi Sundowns, while there will be a repeat of last season's finalists in the same competition, where Kaizer Chiefs will take on SuperSport United.
It is now time for Soccer Laduma to compile the Team of the Month. Selections are based on the performances of players in league and cup fixtures that have taken place in the preceding four weeks of football action.
The team will always be set up in a standard 4-4-2 formation, selected by Soccer Laduma's team of respected journalists.
