With a league and cup double championship on the cards, Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Reneilwe ‘Yeye’ Letsholonyane, is optimistic that the team can go all the way.
On Saturday, Chiefs, who have been crowned the 2012/13 Absa Premiership champions, will battle it out against SuperSport United in the final of this seasons’s Nedbank Cup, at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
Letsholonyane has described this campaign as the perfect opportunity to bag the double, explaining that the team is up for the challenge.
“This is a perfect opportunity and the right challenge for us to win a double. We would have loved to win more trophies, but for now we want a double. It is more realistic at this stage and we can fight for it,” Yeye told Soccer-Laduma.
However, the midfielder said that they will not put themselves under any unnecessary pressure.
He added, “We won't put ourselves under pressure. We will just play our normal game and make sure we score the chances we create. United are the defending champions and they won't be an easy opposition.
“We have to fight hard if we want to win and that's what we are going to do because we want to win a double this season.”
