Anele Ngcongca and Reneilwe ‘Yeye’ Letsholonyane were rested on Monday, following Bafana Bafana’s 3-0 win over Central African Republic (CAR) last Saturday.
While the rest of Gordon Igesund’s travelling squad underwent a training session in Cameroon, at the Omnisport Stadium in Yaounde, both Ngcongca and ‘Yeye’ sat out due to minor injuries.
Ngcongca is suffering from a slight thigh muscle strain, while Letsholonyane has a minor groin strain. However, both players are expected to resume full training with the rest of the squad today (Tuesday).

Coach Igesund said that the injuries are not serious, although they did not want to take any risk with the players.
“We wanted to rest the two players so that they recover from the minor injuries. They are fine, we just didn’t want to take chances and have them train when resting would serve them better.
“We are playing a very important game on Sunday and we want to have all the players fit. They were rested just for Monday but will be training with their teammates today,” Igesund concluded.
