It has previously been reported that the 25-year-old striker is a target for both Sundowns and Egyptian giants, Zamalek,
Having spoken to the player’s agent, Faustino Mukandila last week, it seemed apparent that Masandawana were in with a fighting shot for his signature and it now appears that they may have the upper hand.
After Zamalek tabled an offer to ASEC for Zakri earlier this month, the Siya crew has now been informed that, while the player is undecided on his future, he may jet into Mzansi in the next few days to talk with Pitso Mosimane and his technical team.
Reports in Egypt were that Zamalek were on the verge of landing the Ivorian’s signature, although it now seems as though things are not as cut and dry as that.
Sundowns have snapped up the likes of Sibusiso Vilkazi, Lucky Mohomi and Ricardo Nascimento, but it seems that Mosimane may still be looking to add to his squad.
