Zakri Touches Down For Sundowns Talks
ASEC Mimosas attacker, Yannick Zakri, has touched down in South Africa to open up talks with Absa Premiership champions, Mamelodi Sundowns.
Report: ASEC Accept R4.7m Downs Bid
The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Chloorkop of late, with the Siya crew reporting recently that the Brazilians were the favourites to land him due to ASEC’s preference of selling to them over Zamalek.
Now, after reports from KingFut.com in Egypt explained that Sundowns’ bid of $350,000 (R4.7m) had been accepted by the Ivorian side, the crew has been informed that talks over personal terms are about to get underway.
According to Siya sources, Zakri has already landed in Mzansi to meet with Sundowns’ management, despite the fact that Pitso Mosimane is still on his way back from the CAF Champions League game against Enyimba in Nigeria.
KingFut.com also reported that, while Zamalek and Smouha SC had submitted offers, Zakri looked to be on his way to Tshwane to become Mosimane’s fifth signing of the transfer window.
