The Team of Choice registered their first point of the Absa Premiership season after drawing 0-0 with Chiefs.
Maritzburg began the season with two successive defeats in the league, while they were dumped out of the MTN8 last weekend.
“It wasn’t a great start from us looking at what we have done last season. But again we had to grind. We have to stay united as a team for us to achieve more," Xulu told SuperSport.
“It’s not that easy looking at the fact that we had lost three matches in a row.
"But obviously we have to stay united we’ve been winning games last season where we were united, we don’t have to change that approach,” he concluded.
