The July/August transfer window is just days away, but the big three in South Africa have already released several players.
Kaizer Chiefs started early with making changes to their squad, releasing Bhongolethu Jayiya, Gustavo Paez and Hendrick Ekstein before the official end of the 2018/19 season, with Virgil Vries, Ryan Moon and Brylon Petersen also making their way out of the club.
Thela Ngobeni, Mogakolodi Ngele and Cuthbert Malajila also left Mamelodi Sundowns, after their contracts with the club came to an end, with indications that more players will be making their way out of the exit door in the coming week.
Orlando Pirates on the other hand, just recently confirmed their exits, parting ways Abbubaker Mobara, Jackson Mabokgwane, Thabo Qalinge, Thabo Matlaba and Ayanda Nkosi permanently, also revealing that Mpho Makola and Meshack Maphangule have been place on the transfer list.
So far, just Chiefs and Pirates have concluded new deals, with Amakhosi bringing on board Lazarous Kambole and Pirates signing Fortune Makaringe, Siphesihle Ndlovu, Kabelo Dlamini, Bongani Sam, Tshegofatso Mabasa and Tebogo Tlolane.
Now, it remains to be seen who else will be released from the big three in the coming days.
