The Siya crew previously revealed that the Egyptian giants had submitted big bids for the 19-year-old winger.

Wits CEO Jose Ferreira confirmed earlier in the week that the club had received offers from local and overseas clubs.

Egyptian outlet, Yallakora.com report that the fee is worth $1.3 million (R17m) although this has not been confirmed.

The South African transfer window slammed shut on 31 August 2017, however the The Egyptian transfer deadline will only close on September 14th.

It's thought that there is a long-term deal on the table for the talented teen.

If Mahlambi go to Al Alhy he will have more chances of going overseas since Al Alhy is everpresent in CAF Champions league and Wits do not take CAF competitions seriously.

@setlaboswana , The last time I checked, Egypt had More players in Better European Ligs than SA .. Don't u think SA can learn One or Two things from that ?? 2ndly, As u hav already indicated that des days Money is @ the Centre stage, what if Al Ahly Offers Mahlambi a Better Salary than He s getting now ?? Lastly, Mahlambi suffered a serius injury 2 years ago ... What if somthing happens again, and Ends his Carrer sooner than Expected ?? Money talks baba, Most former players still Regrets rejecting better offers, putting Loyalty First .. So mina I won't mind seeing any player joining any African Country ... Remember, playing in Our Lig does Not guarantee any player a European move in future.

@indidane, about the Egyptian player who came to South Africa, I think he was motivated by money more than anything. Same applies to our players, if they go to Egypt in future, money would be the most influential factor.

@indidane, well, football is a complicated subject these days. Money is at the centre stage. Ndoro went to Saudi Arabia, we have seen players going to India and I have no doubt in my mind that if money was good in Pakistan and Afghanistan, our players would have no problem in going there. Yeah, let me just say we may continue to see new trends because of this money factor. In fact, the focus is no longer on career development, but on how much money a player will make out of the deal.

@setlaboswana , is there anything that an Egyptian player (Gemal) gonna gain by joining SA team ?? And u dd n't answer my Question, About SA being Europeans ?? Why is SA buying from Egypt, is it because, We are Europe ???

@setlaboswana , It never happened that an Egyptian player joined SA team ... It only happened 2 Weeks ago, For the First time ... Yes Egyptian Football is Not the same .. But u cn't say Our Football is Better than Theirs ... Ours is Also Vulnerable .

@indidane, it has never happened that South African player join an Egyptian Club even when they were still a powerhouse of African football. Lately they are vulnerable. Maybe my memory is failing me, but I don't think our players will gain football wise by joining Egyptian Clubs.
