SuperSport United's want-away striker Mabhudi Khenyeza may still get his New Year wish to move away from the Pretoria side, as Wits have made a fresh bid for the former Mamelodi Sundowns striker.
Wits Renew Khenyeza Interest
According to a source close to the player, SuperSport want close to R2 million for the striker and it remains to be seen whether Wits are prepared to meet their demands.
"As far as I know Wits are at the forefront to sign the striker in January. They have wanted him since May 2012, but the deal did not go through. However, after falling out of favour with Gavin Hunt I think he will be leaving this time around," said the source.
Khenyeza is fighting for a starting berth at SuperSport United, with about seven other strikers, including Sibusiso Zuma, Atusaye Nyondo, Ashley Hartog, Kermit Erasmus, Thabiso Nkoana, Nathan Paulse and young Prince Nxumalo.
