As predicted by the Siya crew last month Wits goalkeeper, Jackson Mabokgwane, has joined Mpumalanga Black Aces, as well as midfielder Miguel Timm.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper has joined AmaZayoni on a six month loan deal.
Mabokgwane confirmed to the Siya crew that he will be playing for Aces this season.
“I have signed a six months contract and I started training with my new teammates today,” Mabokgwane told the crew.
“I must say I enjoyed my first training with AmaZayoni. Everyone was welcoming and I felt at home here. I’m looking forward to helping the team to achieve its goals this season,” added the former Mamelodi Sundowns and Platinum Stars keeper.
Aces currently have Bafana Nhlapo, Calvin Marlin and Energy Murambadoro on their books, however, Murambadoro is currently waiting for his Permanent Residency Papers.
That only leaves the team with two goalkeepers hence the reason to add Mabokgwane.
Timm, who played for Amajimbos and Amajita, is expected to add some competition in the midfield for AmaZayoni.
