Amakhosi Starlet Back, Duo Walk Suspension Tightrope

Kaizer Chiefs can welcome young Wiseman Meyiwa back from suspension when they face Chippa United tomorrow night, but two of their players are on the brink of a ban.

Meyiwa missed the Amakhosi’s last two matches following his stamp on Daine Klate in the Telkom Knockout semi-final, being sent off early in the encounter as Chiefs went on to lose 1-0 to the eventual winners of the tournament.

The midfielder, who will turn 18 later this month, had to sit out the draws with AmaZulu and Free State Stars but is now available for selection against the Chilli Boys if Steve Komphela wishes to bring him straight back in.

Meanwhile, both George Maluleka and Joseph Molangoane are at risk of missing a game through their culmination of yellow cards, with the duo on three each for the season going into the last stretch of 2017.

It remains to be seen whether Meyiwa will be put straight into the squad when the Glamour Boys travel to Port Elizabeth today, but his availability will come as a welcome boost as they slowly start to get back to full strength.

Chiefs face Chippa tomorrow as they look to bring to an end a four-game winless run.
